Brot Markets
From Brotpedia, the free encyclopedia nobody can edit
In one bite: a prediction market that only asks questions the blockchain can answer, and then lets the blockchain answer them.
Brot Markets (from the German *Brot*, bread, and the English *markets*, where bread gets sold) is a platform on Solana for on-chain campaigns: a YES or NO question about something the chain can measure, a pot in SOL, and a deadline. At the deadline the program reads the account the question names, and the side that was right splits the pot. Nobody reports the result. Not us, not a committee, not a token vote, not a guy on Discord.
It is the prediction-market mechanic pointed at one job: a milestone becomes a campaign that proves itself.
What it is for
Projects. Roadmaps are promises. "We burn 100M tokens by November 30" lives in a post, and nobody checks. Open a campaign on it and the promise gets a date, money on both sides, and an answer read from the chain. A hollow X post becomes a reason for your community to show up.
Creators. Anyone can open a campaign, and the one who opens it earns on every entry, whichever side wins. So the people with an audience bring it. See Creator.
Bakers. Connect a Solana wallet, pick YES or NO, done. No account, no name, no ID. See Baker.
Two things nobody else does
- The oracle reports. It doesn't decide. Every question is answered by an account on Solana. If the chain can't answer it, we don't list it. See The chain.
- The creator gets paid to spread it. 1% to 1.5% of every entry goes to whoever opened the campaign. Distribution is built into the product, not bought on the side.
Controversies
None recorded. The chain does not take complaints.
