On-chain campaign
From Brotpedia, the free encyclopedia nobody can edit
In one bite: a question, a pot, a deadline, and an account on Solana that already knows the answer.
An on-chain campaign is the only thing Brot Markets sells. It has four parts:
- A question the chain can answer with YES or NO. "Does this token's supply fall below 900M by November 30?"
- An account on Solana that holds the answer: the mint, the pool, the price feed, the validator.
- A deadline.
- A pot in SOL, with a YES side and a NO side.
Life of a campaign
Open. A creator picks one of the question types, the account and the deadline, and pays the tier. Most of the tier goes into the pot as a prize.
Joining. Bakers join YES or NO with SOL. Entries close before the answer can be known, so nobody joins after peeking.
Resolved. After the deadline, anyone can ask the program to read the account. It records YES, NO, or void.
Review. A short window in which the team can only confirm the result or void the campaign. Confirm or void. Never flip.
Paid. The winning side splits the pot. A void refunds everyone.
What a campaign is not
Not a poll. Not a vote. Not a "trust me bro, it happened". If the chain can't read it, it isn't a campaign.
