The chain
From Brotpedia, the free encyclopedia nobody can edit
In one bite: the oracle reports. It doesn't decide.
Every prediction market needs a witness. Most pick a person, a committee, a token vote or a page someone can edit. Brot Markets picks the chain.
How it answers
Each question type has its own reader in the program. At the deadline, anyone can ask the program to resolve the campaign. The reader checks that the account is the right one, owned by the right program and shaped the way it should be, and only then reads it. The answer it finds is the answer.
What a human can do
During the short review window, the team can confirm the result or void the campaign, which refunds everyone. It can't flip YES into NO. Nobody can.
Why
Because "the oracle decided" is how prediction markets end up in long threads about what a word meant. A token supply has no opinion about what a word meant.
Known weaknesses
The chain only knows what is on the chain. Ask it about the weather, and it will stare at you, like Baked in the picture.
