In one bite: one stage, one stream, and a pot the chain settles. Our reporter watched the stream. Mostly.
FLORIANÓPOLIS, October 29, 2026. Brot Markets presented at the IslandDAO demo day in Florianópolis, streamed live on X. The recording, posted by IslandDAO, passed 35,000 views within two days (video).
Baked covered the event live. He opened X, found the stream and wrote "video" in his notebook. Then he pressed the wrong button and spent the pitch reading his own notifications. He believes he is two of the 35,000 views. Neither was on purpose.
The pitch
The team showed the full life of a campaign. A project or a creator opens a question about a goal the chain can measure, like "does this token's supply fall below 900M by November 30?". The community joins YES or NO with SOL. At the deadline the program reads the account, and the side that was right splits the pot.
Baked's summary of the same pitch, filed after the event: "bread good, chain decides". It is, for once, accurate.
"IslandDAO brings together the people building on Solana," says kogepan, COO and CLO. "Leaving with conversations open with projects and creators was the goal, and that is what we are taking into the launch."
What's next
Closed beta now; the mainnet launch date comes right after the code audit. The first creators come in through Levain, with free campaigns for 120 days from launch. Baked has asked to cover the launch in person. Request pending.
